After School Programs

What to expect..

School Age Care Programs (Ages 6 to 12)

• Program is before and after school (Monday- Friday)
• Before school care- 6:30- 8:30 am
• After school care- 2:30-6 pm
• Children are separated into two groups
• 6-8 years old & 9-12 years old
• Lots of physical activities, games and outdoor play
• Spending time and having fun with other children, including those they may see during the school day
• Planned activities driven by their interests to allow them to explore arts and crafts, science, math, reading, music, dance. Physical activities and more
• Children are picked up from school by a daycare teacher
• Pickup is provided depending on location of school
• After school snacks are provided
• Opportunities for homework assistance
• Fees- Monthly rate $80-120(AS) $50-$80(BS)

Policies: Lunch/Snack

• Foods that may have any nuts or by-product or have come in contact with nuts are not allowed
• A list of allergies posted in each room. Children may be required to avoid bringing in other foods related to children’s allergies or illnesses
Toilet train
For programs aged 3 and up as per child care licensing regulations children are required to toilet independently
Late pick up

Immunization
• Upon enrollment in our Preschool and Toddler programs, kaitero, will request
families to provide an up to date record of immunizations and vaccines.
• Parents who choose not to vaccinate their children due to medical, conscientious or religious reasons must provide a written exemption. Medical exemptions must be obtained from a health care provider.

• In the event of an outbreak, children who are not immunized, may be excluded from attending the child care until the outbreak has been determined by the local health officer.
Administration of Medication
• Written authorization from the parent on a Kids Come First Medication Form, including dosage and times the drug is to be taken.
A parent must hand deliver the medication in the original container, clearly labeled with the child’s name, the name of the drug, the dosage, the date of purchase and instructions for storage and administration of the drug.
All medication will be kept in a locked container and stored according to storage instructions and the keys will be kept in a secure place.
